| Bio: | I'm maryavatar, blinking stupidly and wondering how I got to my mid-thirties and when the Hell did it happen. I have no work ethic, but I'm easily bored. This means I do a lot of stuff, but not if I have to. I've just finished a part-time college course, I'm about to start studying with the Open University, and I've recently returned to the workplace as a Web Developer with a medium-small electrical retailer. I like to write. I mostly write sci-fi and erotica, but I have been known to write... well... anything that flits through my brain. I occasionally make sense, but don't hold your breath waiting for it. I'm active in dozens of on-line TV and book fandoms, and float around from one to another at the drop of a hat. My website, Amused and Abused, contains my fanfic (around 200 stories in 16 fandoms) and a bunch of other bits and pieces, mainly PSP-generated artwork. I maintain Andromeda Uncovered, an archive for erotic Andromeda fiction. I make freeware icons, which I share on my GreatestJournal. And I post fandom-related stuff and snarkiness on my journalfen. I also run a non-fandom Paint Shop Pro tutorial website PSP Tutorials by Mary, and the PSPMary Board. If you want to friend my journal, go right ahead. The only f-locked posts I make are ones with pictures of my Spawn, or personal information, so you're not missing anything if I don't. She is nothing like me. Spawn #3 AKA The Hobbit, my eight year old daughter. She's extra titchy, and is often mistaken for a toy by other children. J My best off-line pal. She has a son, R in #1's class and a daughter, R2 in #3's. HWWB Hot Window Washer Bloke. Lust object, has slept with pretty much everyone between 16 and 50 within a ten mile radius. Except me. Flirts shamelessly. Squeegee Boy HWWB's twenty year old son. Since HWWB is the same age as me, SB must have been conceived when HWWB was 14 or 15. SB is living up to his father's example, and already has three children. That we know about. Rog Rog has sadly moved away. There are now significantly fewer grubby spawn playing in the road. Mr Y The Headmaster of the Spawn's school. Very hot, but a complete fuckwit. Patio Man Patio Man lives in the house behind mine. I can see his patio from the landing window. He is always sitting out there. I got up at 5am once and looked out the window - he was still there. I'd suspect he died, but he occasionally switches chairs. Bossman My employer. He's a pretty good boss as bosses go. C, B, V, M and R My co-workers are all lovely people, thank God. MiL, Sils The in-laws. They're very polite and middle class, but can put away a Hell of a lot of booze, and have this Thing about clean houses. I mostly like them. Mostly. Mum, Sarkycat, Angiv and Wilbur My side of the family. Much ruder than the in-laws. Working class, a bit strange, and very brainy. I'm 'the thick one'.
